VU Meter is just a bar

Just setting up SJ for the first time. My VU meters are just horizontal bars, not meters. If I make noise they fill with blue from left to right. I searched Support and don’t see anything about this. Using Chrome on MacOS Big Sur on an Intel i9 Macbook Pro. Would appreciate any advice on how I may be holding this wrong. Thanks, __Roy
