The base component of Soundjack is an application called Soundjack-Core (SJC). After launch it does nothing visual and simply shows running status by an XLR icon in the application dock of the OS. The actual user interface for the SJC is the web browser – basically the stage tab of the Soundjack website.
Download SJC (version May, 12th, 2021)
In case of missing libs please install the full set via: sudo apt install libqt5multimedia5 libqt5multimediawidgets5 libqt5websockets5-dev libqt5x11extras5-dev
Windows users with a Focusrite Soundcard please request a driver patch here: Focusite Driver Patch
Alternatively the SJC also works as a software mix server to be installed on individual web server space. Ideally run it on a Linux machine with the e.g. following command line args:
./soundjack SERVER 1 256 2 50050 (mono mixdown, 256 samples framesize, jitter buffer size = 2 and bind port = 50050)
Additionally you have to enter the server’s name, IP and port in your user profile in order to make it show up in your group (see “server” tab of this website).
