Dear SoundJack friends,
We are about to set up a (Linux) Mixing Server (SoundJack) and are looking for specifications. Anybody who has done this before would you be kind enough to share your specs (and the number of simultaneous connections supported).
Network connections of around 150kbps per connection should not be an issue. I assume the critical value is the number of kernels and the kind of CPUs used.
We are currently running at sample/network buffers of 128, setting jitter buffers in the area of 2 and looking for RTT/2 (latency as displayed on stage) of 15-20ms as with our P2P connections so far. In a next step we would like to scale to 10 and later 20 participants, possibly exceeding these numbers eventually.
Thanking you kindly,
Gérald
